Welcome Summer
“We are again asked to demonstrate our complete willingness to work the steps.”
AA Tradition 6: Every A.A. group ought never endorse, finance, or lend the A.A. name to any related facility or outside enterprise, lest problems of money, property, or prestige divert us from our primary purpose.
"Our focus is to carry the message to those still suffering from the disease of alcoholism"

Notes from 5/20/2024 Board Meeting
Treasurer Report: Michael met with the accountant; the payment error due to the IRS is Yana’s responsibility to pay. The accountant will make sure it is paid. Accounts were reviewed and in order with significant prudent reserve.
House Committee: Quentin explained that the water problem in the basement is due to a faulty electrical connection to the sump pump. An electrician will be brought in to fix the problem and a new sump pump installed if needed.
New walls will be installed on the shed to replace the panels that are decaying.
Broken cabinet repair is on hold pending construction plans that will affect the area where they are located.
Membership Committee Report: In April we had 2 new members. In May there were 3 new members. The membership form has been updated with our IRS Tax Exemption number or EIN.
Social Committee Report: Kevin will post the new membership form on the Facebook page. He will also be taking drone camera images for our social media site.
Newsletter: Steve will email Kevin the link to the Newsletter on One Drive.
Vice President: Megan received a request for a new monthly GSO meeting in the small conference room. The BOD agreed to allow GSOs to meet, and there will be no charge.
New Business: Andres requested we create a list of the locker assignments. The list will be updated for reference when a new group needs a locker. We need to approach new YANA members for prospective BOD candidates.

A note from the
President:
We are making progress on our plans to renovate the bathrooms and kitchen area. The architect and builder are finalizing the plans to submit for the necessary permits. We held our monthly Board meeting on May 20th.
And from the Board:
Please leave the meeting area as you found it, clean and with the furniture back in its original place, please stay out of the way of the cleaning crew. When they are working you should not be in the area.
The board requires a new member to fill in for a resignation. Please contact one of the current members for information.

Al-Anon Tradition 6: Our Al-Anon Family groups ought never endorse, finance, or lend our name to any related facility or outside enterprise, lest problems of money, property, or prestige divert us from our primary purpose. Although a separate enterprise, we should always cooperate with Alcoholics Anonymous.
