A Life-Changing Decision…Step 3 “Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.”

AA Tradition 3: "The only requirement for A. A. membership is a desire to stop drinking."
Notes from Annual Membership Meeting:
The meeting was held at 1:00 pm on February 12, 2023, at YANA.

The building will have new insulation installed this summer. It will require the building to be closed for a maximum of 3 days. The porch will still be available and an A/C Porta-Potty will be on site.

The board has approved a plan to renovate the kitchen and all 3 bathrooms. We are currently looking for licensed contractors to bid on the work. Contact Jim B. (781-496-8569)

The coffee machine is working properly again but will be serviced to insure it continues to do so!!!

There was a concern about the generator failing during the hurricane. It was an electrical problem caused by excess demand that over load a breaker. It has been repaired and it was noted that the generator is serviced annually.
Notes from 2/20/2023 Board Meeting

House Committee:

  • Coffee machine complaint is now working.
  • Plumbing, requested service from a plumber to fix the issue. Would prefer the tile to be fixed.
  • Closer of AC Room needs to be fixed. (Mike?)
  • Water Fountain Pressure to review.
  • Screen Doors servicing and cleaning
  • Memorial Bricks being serviced/replaced/refreshed.
    • Only affecting certain bricks, the older ones
  • Postpone the Insulation Project until June/July due to shutdown building.
    • Include an A/C’d porta-potty.
    • T/W/TR June/July would be better.

New Business:

  • Venmo, is it possible to include it as a part of our publications?
    • Should we put more public info about our 501 (C)(3) status?
    • Opening Venmo as a charitable organization
  • Motion by Chris, seconded by Steve to accept the previously submitted renovation project as a starting point to upgrade the bathroom/change the hallway.
    • Renovation Project:
      • All we need is a Licensed Electrician/Plumber to complete the renovation project
      • Request quotes and bids on how much we want to change.
